4. Birth Data Handling
We recognize that birth data is sensitive personal information. We collect the following for astrological chart computation:
- Date of birth: Used for planetary position calculations
- Time of birth: Used for ascendant and house calculations
- Place of birth: Used for geographic coordinate-based chart adjustments
This data is used exclusively for astrological calculations and is never sold to third parties. Birth data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). You may request deletion of your birth data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at darsh@darshj.ai.
5. AI Processing Disclosure
Our Service uses Google Gemini AI to generate astrological interpretations, tarot readings, palmistry analysis, and chat responses. When you use AI-powered features:
- Your birth data and queries are sent to Google Gemini API for AI interpretation
- Astronomical calculations are performed via the Swiss Ephemeris computation engine
- AI-generated responses are provided in real-time and stored only if you explicitly save them
- We do not use your personal birth data to train AI models
Gemini Data Retention: Google retains API input data for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring purposes, after which it is deleted. Google does not use Gemini API data to train its models. For details, see Google's AI Terms.
6. Third-Party Processors
We do not sell your personal data. The following third-party services process data on our behalf:
- Google Gemini AI: Processes birth data and queries for AI-powered interpretations (55-day input retention)
- Resend: Email delivery for account verification, password resets, and optional astrological alerts
- Stripe / Razorpay: Payment processing for subscriptions and credit purchases; we do not store card details
- Hosting providers: Infrastructure services under strict data protection agreements
We may also share data when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), secure session management, and regular security audits. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Data Retention
We retain different categories of data for different periods:
- Kundli and birth chart data: Stored indefinitely while your account is active; deleted within 7 days of account deletion
- AI chat conversations: Retained for 90 days, then automatically purged
- Session data: Retained for 30 days
- Account data: Retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion
- Gemini API inputs: Retained by Google for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring
- Usage analytics: Anonymized after 12 months
- Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data and request a copy
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data (right to erasure)
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
